Review previous day's casino performance,  review operational procedures, initiate and chair hearings, do yearly performance appraisals, ensuring customer satisfaction and encouraging their return visits, supervise the performance of the employees, communicate both good and bad news to the co-workers, ensure that the working area is kept clean and making absolute sure that the customers are well served.

I have learnt that nothing is the same on daily basis, every situation requires different approach, every customer, both internal and external, is of great importance to the business, one must seek clarity before acting as good ideas may be obtained from both senior and junior stuff members and that one has to be always willing to learn and be willing to be educated. More importantly, I have learnt that the best performing team is led by the best leader who is able to set clear and attainable goals and that all that the leader is doing must be in line with the company's goals and objectives.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with unpredictable situations where one has to make decisions that have never been made before, making sure they satisfy the customer and benefit the company. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is when one get the recognition by the company, like when I got nominated a manager of the month for my innovative contribution the company.

typical day at work its when I was new and a guest call me for a dispute claiming that the machine should had paid for that combination but i didn't so I wasn't sure if he was right or not since I was still training
if I come across with any kind of a problem don't panic listen carefully what went wrong then find your fact straight then start solving that challenge
management is always open to the staff and they are good in being a middle-man between staff and guests even though you those are being harsh to the staff and being autocratic

its during the busy daisy like festive season or holidays where become very busy we have to handle a big no of people who needs help at the same they also impatient since they losing their money so we have to stay come all the time and never get angry or act otherwise.

working with different people who has different believes and cultures and different ideas about life it teaches me a lot of things in life

I enjoyed working at suncoast casino. It was the first job in my life and i learnt a lot of thing like how to work with people and work as a team is very important and to respect other people's opinions. The management was so kind and willing to help all the time, since it was my first job i did not know most of the things, the understood and they were very kind. The most hardest part of the job for me was when the guest would order something and his paying cash and when you come back with his drink and you do not find him so you have to pay for the drink. I enjoyed break times where i stay with my co-workers and chat, they were very nice people to work with.

I used to work directly with the punters and I used to feel sorry if I take money from the people as they lose their bets. I have learned a lot from this company on how handle aggressive customers and interacting with them directly. The management was good they were knew their roles and handle the business in a good way, they followed the employment equity act correctly. They thought us to work as a team and make sure that we cover each others at work. That job is not easy as you have to calculate all payout using your mind no calculator or computer. The salary was good the only thing I didn't like was working in a smoking area.

my mind was open to the IT industry to explore, i was given the foundation to IT, Gaming, the world problems, and solutions to develop on or create my own. The few Leadership moments given showed me what kind of leader i can be and grow before my full leadership life took place and gain my knowledge to pass on to my team. Being informed you incompetent by staff that hardly really know they you are actually doing they work for them. I always enjoyed any challenge given to me. i look at it as an adventure in Cyber world because it opened my mind a lot to welcome and situation.

It's a bussy enviroment,work long standing ours.

I have Learned guest relation and relating with people at large, respect to other people's culture.

Management always put us under pressure understandable to get their work done and everything in order.

Co-workers were wonderfull, making it easy and enjoyable to see and work with them.

At first we were using the coin system-but then later got ride of it- it was hard work transporting the coins from the main cashdesk to other allocated work substation.

Development during off-peak ours.

All in all it was a gud place to work.

Manangement only see you as a cash cow, they don't care if you're sick or have a family crisis they just want you to come to work. The supervisors shout and talk down on you and the managers seem to give preferential treatment to a certain "demographic". If you decide to stand up to management they'll find something to use against you and eventually fire you. Working at suncoast was the worst thing to ever happen to me, the staff may seem happy and energetic but it's only a front to please the guests.

You have to buy face with management or your work experience will be a nightmare  If you do not abide by management rules even if it's not company procedure you will not last long. Management rules over company policy and procedures. No room for growth if you do not buy face. Was very stressful because of my honesty and they prefer dishonest people who are willing to sacrife their integrity than doing what you were hired for. You have to play management game or you will not enjoy being at work as they make your life a living nightmate at work


The work in itself was somewhat challenging but things had a tendency of becoming repetitive at times. Guests were okay. 

The work environment was toxic, co-workers have a habit of gossiping and spreading rumours about others, racist and psychotic managers, while working there expect to be surrounded by envious people who who will celebrate your difficulties and adversities.

 My advice to anyone hoping to get a job here is, you deserve better Suncoast isn't worth it. So hang in there something better will come your way.

Suncoast Casino was a very big casino busy most of the time we use to work with different type of people with different personalities culture and religions it use to be very difficult giving yo attention to every guess when it bust but tried by all means to treat everyone da same what I enjoyed the most was that I get to meet new people everyday we worked hard but had fun at the same time entertaining our guest
